STONE TOWN ( CITY )TOUR

Then we finish the tour by walking through some of the worlds narrowest streets in the stone town where you can buy curios and few gifts.

PRISON ISLAND

The full day tour starts from Tembo Hotel Beach to Prison Island (Changuu) it’s a 30 minutes trip by boat. This island used to keep slave and later used as quarantine station for Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika territories now remains on this Island tremondous giant tortoises and beatiful peacocks. You can swim sunbathe and snorkel after visiting this little paradise.

JOZANI FOREST TOUR
This is fine and separate tour that you can combine with the East Coast Tour. This beautiful tropical forest will offer you the most existing views of the rare Red colobus monkeys, Jozani forest is a protected forest and is home to some of our primate cousins. The Red Colobus Monkeys are indigenous only to Zanzibar and they are about 2300 strong in and around the protected forest. A nature walk through the forest is a great way to see wildlife on the Island that includes over 50 species of butterflies and 83 species of birds, one of which is an endemic subspecies the Fischer’s Turaco, other species that live in Jozani Forest are hyraxes, sun squirrels, bush babies, African Civel, Ader’s duker, Numerous different frogs, and many kinds of snakes, bush pigs giant elephant shrews, mongoose, geckos, skinks and chameleons. The mangrove walk is about an hour from start to finish but that’s only because you have to walk a farm for 10 to 15 minutes before reaching the boardwalk of the mangrove.

DOLPHIN TRIP
This is a long trip, it is 1 hour 45 minutes drive through the Country side south of Zanzibar Town to the Kizimkazi beach. At Kizimkazi we visit the oldest Mosque on the East African Coast. Thereafter you start a boat trip to the reef where the Dolphins are usually seen. This takes about 30 minutes. The Bottlenose (Tursiops truncates) types of dolphins are the ones mostly seen in groups. Our boats are equipped with sun shelters and Morden life jackets.

The whole of Zanzibar Island is surrounded by coral, making the Island an Ideal place for divers cruises can be arranged with “PADI calibre companies’’ taking you to the world farmous diving sites on top of conducting courses, so you can come to Zanzibar as a snorkeler and leave as qualified diver. The diving centers has gears, has gear for hire.
